We teamed up with Born Social and Barclays to create a full suite of social films showcasing the brilliant community projects they support, alongside the stories of the staff behind them. 

With Pitch In™, we supported Born Social with the creative, giving them enough detail so ensure their team could confidently pitch creative ideas to client before production began.

This one was all about pace. With a tight turnaround and lots to capture, we needed to move fast without dropping quality.

We put a system in place to transfer footage live from set to our post team, so edits could begin while we were still shooting. All while battling some of the patchiest Wi-Fi rural Somerset has to offer.

Each day meant multiple unit moves, and often travel straight to the next county once we wrapped. One day we were filming pigs on a community farm, the next we were walking through the gates of the Royal Naval College in Greenwich.

Pre-production was key. With a lot of ground to cover, we built a tight shooting schedule with enough flexibility to keep things smooth on the ground. We prepped scripted questions to guide the interviews and keep messaging on point, especially when working with people not used to being on camera.

Some shoots were in sensitive locations like retirement communities, so we kept things calm, respectful, and efficient.

The deliverables included hero films, cutdowns for social, motion graphics, sound design and even a handful of animated moments.

We also shot nearly 18,000 stills to create some stylised, slow-shutter effects across the edits.

A full bank of content, crafted to be flexible across Barclays’ community messaging. 69 final deliverables across social formats, edited and approved on time, and a very happy agency-client team to round it all off.

How we made it happen
